NTR definitely encouraged LP to run the party (not the administration). He did that because he stopped trusting his family and other party members (including CBN and Daggubati). NTR was never political and either did not sense this anti or took it lite but the anti started when NTR/LP ecame popular in public during 1994 campaign itself. That helped him in the early days of his political life but that hurt him towards the end. The self-importance and delusions of grandeur got played by Lakshmi parvathi. Lakshmi parvathi's personality, based on what we know of her previous life, has abdundant oratory talent in stoking NTR's pride and subsequently feeding his egotism. None of this can be planned. It happened. But it started to morph Into an amateur hour. She was getting extremely intrusive into party affairs and cutting of NTR's access to other senior leaders of the party. Some leaders saw the opportunity and turned into LP's loyalists. They started making use of her immaturity in politics and her greed for money. She was totally overwhelmed by the access to riches that were even beyond her dreams. In early days, she deferred politics to CBN and other leaders. She was content with access to money. Later she started interfering in party internal affairs. She started believing she is destined. The whole party internal hierarchy and structure was seriously threatened. Her meddling of seat selection in 1994 election was alarming to almost everyone in the party. Nobody was even able to reach NTR without LP's blessing. The party coup was also not CBN only planned affair. It was result of boiling frustrations among several leaders and even NTR's family. That is the only reason CBN got the support.
