@senapathy vunkl - when going for an arranged marriage, why would you even think about going for inter-caste marriages, unless the other half is going to be from a well-known family friend. Inter caste marriages usually work on word of mouth, until the last two decades, most people in desam mingled with people in the same region, and also with in the same caste. All parents seek out for families with good name, and decent social acceptance, with in their community(region and caste). It is way easier to understand a family and their behavior and nature if they belong the same caste, so they are more comfortable. "Castes were based on our jobs", that was centuries ago. Now castes are much more than that. I would suggest, if going with arranged marriages, let your parents pick what they are comfortable with. I want intercaste, but want arranged ante, you are just adding undue pressure on parents. If you would rather prefer someone outside caste(i am not saying prefer, and "not mind"), it is better for you to find the girl yourself  , assuming this discussion is for you  | ||

It is just your belief and values. There is no right decision here. Have clarity. Some people won’t believe in marriage or one partner for life too. Don’t raise the kids saying all are equal and then introduce caste at marriage age. One of my relatives who came in 90s raised kids well. Now at thier marriage age, wants to marry them in same caste. I am married in the same caste. Benefits: 1. Parents and In-laws happy. This is a very big factor. 2. Thindhi alavaatlu okate. Kaabatti no problems. 3. Pooja vidhaanaalu almost same. Current generation lo kooda why are most parents preferring same caste marriage for their kids. Basically calling married folks. If you are married in same caste what are the biggest benefits you have seen, apart from parents and in laws aakul satisfied.. Does caste play a big role in keeping your marriage happy? Alternatively calling rebels who married out of caste. What do you feel you have lost (if any) due to this. Biggest challenges enti.. Castes were based on our jobs.
