End of the day the common man pays more in terms of taxes for certain goods and for some others pays slightly less. But GST will kill the small businesses. Small businesses need to log 37 filings a year with all thier invoice data and one single mistake and the whole filing is gone (Invoice ID/material Serial ID to be mapped across the Supply chain i.e. Supplier - manufacturer - wholesaler - Retailer) So all income needs to be reported....and taxed...which will deal a death blow to small businesses. A large number will not follow this rule - and to survive they need to bribe the tax official (whose discretionary powers have increased now) on top of the Muncipal dept employee and traffic cop. So common man should expect to pay that bribe or call back Anna Hazare who has gone into hiding after he has achieved 100% successful campus placement. | ||

May not be huge impact. There will be 2-5% change in both ways!!! B2b arena lo tax flow between supplier and customer ni chavagodathunaru .. they left several items vague. Pwc, EY, Deloitte etc are all making tons of money ... To any entrepreneur's here, any one with CA background and tax specialization , team up with an IT guy and reach out to mid to small size organizations. There is money to be made. I ran into a guy who was running a fertilizer business(a small agency) who has no clue how to work with tax returns in GST world . He is not going to engage big 5's.
