unless they syndicate, competition will ensure that savuings are passed on to consumer.

Even if they don't pass the savings this time, eventually because of the market forces, they will have to pass it down in a couple of years because this GSt law will stay for decades.

1. Central Value Added Tax (CENVAT) or Central Excise duty 12.36%
Tax levied on the production of manufacturing goods.
2. Service Tax 15%

3. Central Sales Tax (CST) 2%

4. Countervailing Duties (CVD) 12.36%

5. Special Additional Duty of Customs (SAD) 4%
Additional import duty to counterbalance the sales or value added tax
payable by local manufacturers.

4. Luxury Tax 3%-20%
Tax on luxury goods and services that include hotels, resorts, and congregational

1) Small business with upto 20lakh turnover is exempt from GST registration & tax filing. If turnover is upto 50 lakh, only one return is filed every quarter and tax is also less. All business over 50 lakh have to be fully complaint with GST.
