In my view .. globalization is a policy that evolved out of imperialism which was not exactly the flavor of the season after WW-2. After collapse of USSR, the whole world had to follow it for their survival, does not mean the policy became sanctimonious?

this is what i've noticed in our desi crowd who lean democratic:
- they really care about social issues like pro-choice
- they don't like the extreme individualism that is generally associated with republicans and conservatives
- they want to appear to care about other people and they figure democratic party generally 'takes care' of less privileged people with entitlements
- they think all republicans/conservatives have a racist bone in them

Jp_rocks:the US government is so vested in it's business interests...it is more vested in its business interests than it is in its people..it has been that way from the time it was formed..the damn nation was formed to protect and extend its 'property' and business interests - not because it was united by a common culture or heritage..that gap between the government's interests and the people's interests that started on Day 1 of it's emergence as a nation still continues..the gap may have lessened a bit with New Deal and LBJ's left wing policies (and now with obamacare) but it still is huge and more pronounced than it is with other democratic nations..
that is why it took so long for such a so-called developed nation to pass a law as just as civil rights..that is why it took so long for women to get voting rights..and that is why and that is why...the list never ends..
the country does what suits its businesses...donald trump in my mind is a great enabler for it's agenda..i don't think the guy will do anything to hurt US businesses....that means he isn't and can't be against globalization..

Jp_rocks:If we look at India and nris interests, trump ye better anipistundi...hillary is not known to be a friend of India....the best possible outcome could be maintenance of status quo - which is not good for either India or NRIs..plus we can't trust her with anything
On the other hand trump has business interests in India..he has at least acknowledged the presence of Indian Americans or Hindus by political ads and other means..he is openly supportive of Modi and his policies..his strong "anti terrorist, anti Islamic, anti terrorist sponsoring states like Pakistan" stand could also mean stronger partnership opportunities for India..his tax policies benefit most NRIs and small business owners..agreed he's not a likeable guy, in fact he's obnoxious in many ways BUT he could be beneficial for India and Indians

If we look at India and nris interests, trump ye better anipistundi...hillary is not known to be a friend of India....the best possible outcome could be maintenance of status quo - which is not good for either India or NRIs..plus we can't trust her with anything

Unlike Billy there is no real evidence this ever happened. Not to belittle any of the women who made the comments but why wait till last minute to come out. I do not buy the narrative that they came out only when his Audio came out because wikileaks says otherwise, billary /podesta had notes in the emails that were alluding to this issue. There are already couple of counter witnesses who have disputed the allegations raised by couple of the women. With the track record of Billary I see this as a well planned operation by them.
