Donated a little while ago. Have genuine questions: 1. Do they still have health insurance? 2. How did they pick 200k as a target amount? I'm not doubting that they are in need, but if they have to pay all the medical bills from their pocket, cost of care will easily cross 1 million, if not more. I saw similar situation to one of my friend His wife was too healthy an active all of sudden her health got down She could not move talking also not good like she keeps talking without any contexts And like in India they used to say amma vaaru poonaru etc After taking her emergency thighs become more worst And the medicines they gave are all BS. It's kind of nightmare Later on he took his wife to different emergency and that doctors medicine Worked well she is able to walk now talk now also well. Sad is very few ppl helped him from me one amontg them There are many Indians none of the helped much. So that's one more hard hitting lesson that no matter of what When it comes to health give at most priority Don't care ppl. When u r sick no body care for u as we all are busy With our duties. It's big achievement from my friend in his life time being life partner to her He did excellent job. God really blessed both of them  By gods grace they are doing well. Driving is my PASSION. Bob, I dont mind donating for a cause but in their request, they need to tel why they need the money? Dont they have insurance? What is the max out of pocket. What will the contributions used for? I am not doubting the genunity of the case but we cannot keep on contribution just because they open up a gofundme. There will be tax implications for them and they should have used other avenues instead of gofundme because of of the 5% charge. | ||
