Dad ki by-pass surgery appudu mom told me one day and the day after i was there and was very strong amongst the entire family thinking it's a small procedure. @Anand, the case workers at the hospital have been helping us out in finding assistance. She needs to get this kind of support for at least another 2 yrs. Community programs entha varaku cover chestayo theleedhu. Last year i tried to get cost of medication covered by a foundation and they had limited amount to offer. @Nanigadu, paina cheppinattu, inka 2 yrs hospital antey we cannot shuttle brother. Already inko papa was negatively affected because of us not being there with her. Hospital costs are more for insurance and also, hospital won't allow to stay there if she is good enough to go home and rehabilitate. We tried to get her to a institution closer to our home, which i just got to know was rejected. | ||

Adhi provide cheyalantey none of the programs cover that! only one program covers till max 8-10 hrs. per hour 40-50$ anta nursing cost. imagine per month 9K! | ||

October is Breast cancer awareness month. Please donate to Breast cancer research here or in desam if you can. My mother beat cancer 4 years ago. She was in stage 3 or 4 dont remember clearly. She had to undergo 7 chemo and 30 radiation therapy cycles.. she has lot of side effects from chemo and radiation therapy though.. All the best Muddam and congrats. Believe in the doctor you have. DOnt mess up things with too many treatments. And most of all the family and doctor has only 20 percent but the remaining 80 percent is the true grit of the patient. There were instances when we and the doctor thought we lost but she had the strongest will. My Doctor is Dr Senthil Rajappa Head Chemo department Basava Tarakam Cancer Hospital. The first day after the diagnosis when we were asking he said only this sentence. Let us not bother about Why(it happened). Lets think about what ( to do). I never bothered him with questions again. Five months back my Mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Doctors gave a 30% survival chance. We had a checkup today and doctor confirms she is free of any cancer. To avoid recurring we are now going for autologous bone marrow transplant. Although expensive and beyond means we took a chance in providing the best treatment and we are a relieved lot today. There were days where the doctor and we were only praying god for miracle and we were answered positively.... There were some DB members who were very supportive and stood for me.
