well they all came short in regulation 50 overs....chasing a smaller total relative to their big names (so called)......
bottom line.....in the knock outs....there is luck factor involved from toss to umpiring decisions to lately 'Hand of God' overthrows.....
but overall good that all teams are brought down to the ground......300's 400's etc etc....doesnt matter......240 and fight like a pack you can still win the cup......

It does not matter you have best team or worst team. What really matters is how you play of that day to win. In today’s game they won because of luck but not by actually playing well.
The play moments you said were are tied up and not won the match. So ideally the cup should have been shared or decided on much better things than just boundaries |

NZ fought like champions but I think England deserved it more than NZ purely based on skill level.
England can defeat any team in any conditions. Where as NZ needs fast bowling supportive conditions to beat top teams.
