My intention was,if the Kadapa route is covered under Central Govt UDAN scheme,why will state Govt bother to cancel and not the fact if it is right or wrong ,. BTW the SIN-VJA route is not a scheduled route and can not have code sharing with other airlines.That means travel agents can not book a ticket clubbing it with other airlines.If some one from LA wants to fly to VJA via Singapore,he will not be able to book SIN-VJA as connecting flight.. And most of the international flyers need this facility to make the route more viable | ||

Bad decision by Jagan unless he forces central govt to give international route permissions for gannavaram airport. Every Tom dick n harry gi benefits istu economical growth ki upayogapade connectivity ni tagginchatam bad. - VGF agreement is because central govt is not giving route permissions for international routes...so state has to do this on a contract basis like a chartered service. Indigo is not allowed to run on its own with central govt route permission. - Load factor on average is at 50% because its Indigo. with no code sharing with any other airline and indigo service is point to point, its not convenient to travel with connections. travel agencies wont build itineraries on this route. If this is a regular service more people will use this to travel to US, Europe and other destinations. - New routes take up to an year to fully become popular // 50% Load factor is all is needed. its right there at the border...i dont think govt is paying much if at all. Following a tender process, IndiGo was chosen to operate flights between Vijayawada and Singapore at a cost of â¹3.05 crore per month for six months with an initial amount of â¹18.35 crore. The amount was arrived at based on indicative return ticket price of â¹18,881 per seat and â¹33.98 lakh for operation of two return flights per week with a 180-seater plane. Ajai Jain, Principal Secretary, Energy, Infrastructure and Investment, told BusinessLine, âWe have issued a VGF of â¹3 crore to encourage direct flight connectvity to Singapore. If the flights go even half full, we need not reimburse. AP has 11 airports..TG has one..MP is bigger than AP..it has only one namesake international airport ,with no international lights.So what ? It depends on demand and usage and not just how big the state is Kerala has over 40 lakhs families in Gulf..and the journey is just 2 hrs to anyplace in Gulf and flight tickets are under Rd 15k. Most of them are in well paying jobs (not as labor) and travel frequently to Kerala..hence the demand for more airports /connectivity | ||
