I think its due to a few important reasons : 1) Perception - its the same party in state and center. 2) Central leadership is participating in campaigns very closely, so their credibility at stake. 3) Party at center managed state operations - funding, policy, cadre, nominees so their leadership failed. 4) Excessive Media coverage batting for or against parties 5) Its a ground for sharpening political strategies which can be used for general elections But at the end of the day voters are voting based on what the state government did for them. | ||
