I agree that Del potro was not duly praised for his fantastic efforts...the problem was with the fall premieres starting on CBS....they have a lot of revenue at stake with some serials which were being aired starting yesterday...and also this match was scheduled on sunday and not monday..these guys were not prepared. dick enberg the master of ceremonies is at fault very much....if he was so concerned about time then he shouldn't have given the mike to that old lady and also take his sweet time talking to federer...this guy has done enough talking with fed for the last 5 years...should have spent more time with Del potro.... and regarding US prize money it happens every time ....the master of ceremonies also made the same announcement when clijsters won and they always make these announcements after all LEXUS spent a fortune on this event... Tragically the US open falls during the beginning of Football season and they never do justice for tennis when it comes to coverage in USA.... mens final is always played on sunday afternoons to accommodate their schedule for other sports....The only reason womens tennis is played on prime time is bcoz of the william's sisters popularity... Tennis is not the most popular sport so we are subjected to second grade treatment...CHILL DEL POTRO should have gotten a better and deserved treatment rather than what he got yesterday | ||

Now player 1 challenges the call and verdict comes out as IN. Player 2 would have attempted to hit the ball, if it was not called OUT by linesman. crowd cheered for the underdog..but the comentators, officials everyone were after Federer as if he was the champ. No doubt federer is THE greatest player, but the moments were Del Portos and I felt he was mistreated. comentators were just praising Federer untill the last minute when Porto really won.
