JP did not abstain from voting, he clearly explained why he is being neutral, and announced it openly in the assembly. Even in general elections you have an option "not voting for anybody". Will support TDP with a condition, Jayaprakash Lok Satta to support Naidu if he moves no-trust motion Anantapur: Lok Satta president Dr Jayaprakash Narayan has said that his party will give extend support to Telugu Desam Party chief Mr Chandrababu Naidu if he introduces a no-confidence motion in the assembly to unseat the government. Dr Jayaprakash Narayan demanded the state government to announce a special package for farmers immediately. He suggested that the government should consider the plight of farmers and labourers of the district. Mr Narayan participated in the independent ryot committee meeting held at Martadu village of Garladinne mandal in Anantapur district on Saturday. He lashed out at the government for not taking action beyond declaring Anantapur district as drought-hit. He demanded loan facility for all farmers in the district. He said that the government should provide employment to farmers and pay them a minimum of Rs 100 as daily wages. At a media conference later, Dr Jayaprakash Narayan demanded an immediate session of the Assembly to discuss the serious problems being faced by the people of the State. He said that farmers and common people were suffering from drought, power cuts and viral fevers and so many other problems. The Lok Satta leader criticised that the governmentâs laxity in implementing pension, ration cards, Arogya Sri, housing and other schemes. While addressing a public meeting at Anantapur, Dr Narayan said: âWe will show how to rule the State if people elect our party in the coming elections.â He stated that Lok Satta Party had no heirs and only talented people would become leaders. He said that farmers had the right to question the state government if they were not given minimum support price. The Lok Satta chief, alluding to Telangana issue, said that underdevelopment was not limited to any particular area or State. | ||

No-trust move Naidu finally decides to strike back, Govt safe Hyderabad: The TDP which was so far wavering on whether or not to move a no-confidence motion against the government during the winter session of the state Assembly now seems to have firmed up its opinion. Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, while readmitting Vanne Babu of Visakhapatnam at his residence on Saturday, said that the party would move a no-confidence motion against the government as it had failed to come to the rescue of the farmers in the state who were suffering badly. TDP politburo members K Yerran Naidu and Yanamala Ramakrishnudu told a press conference in the evening that the party would move a no-confidence motion against the government on the farmersâ plight and its anti-people policies The YSR Congress had been alleging that the Kiran Kumar government was surviving only with the support of the TDP. The no-confidence motion would prove who was into match-fixing with whom, the two leaders said. One after the other the so-called loyalists of Jagan were returning to the Congress and asserting they would not pull down the government, the TDP leaders pointed out. âOne day Jagan himself will merge with the Congress,â they claimed. But the real intention of moving no-confidence according to party seniors is two-fold. One to highlight the problems of the farmers and expose the failure of the government to take timely measures to help them and, second, it would provide an opportunity to the party to launch a political attack against the government on various issues like corruption in Jalayagnam and the various cases filed against him by YSR government and other Congress leaders and the latest allegations by Vijayamma which has led to the high court directing the CBI to inquire if any prima-facie case exists against him or not. Naidu said that he was not worried about the false allegations that were being made against him. The Congress party in connivance with YSR Congress was indulging in mud-slinging against the party and against him in particular. âWe have to stand by the farmers on one hand and wash the mud thrown at us by the Congress and YSR Congress,â he said. âIf the party rank and file are united we can certainly do it. However, the no-confidence motion is not likely to pose any threat to the ruling Congress government, as the TDP has only 83 members in the 294-member AP Assembly. If the TRS supports the motion, as promised, another 12 members could be added to the tally. The CPI has 4, CPM one, and they have not taken a stand on the no-confidence motion. The lone Lok Satta Party MLA Jayaprakash Narayan said he would support the no-confidence motion. Currently, three seats are vacant in the Assembly, following the resignation of two TDP rebels and the death of a Congress MLA. Resignation of 79 MLAs are pending disposal.
