Thats where the issue comes. Thats what I said earlier, Mind plays a game that will never allow us to think "NOW", it either creates some kind of guilt to seek sympathy on past issues or create fear over future happenings. 99% of the time these thoughts are repetitive with a pattern to lead to psychological issues If mind is trained to think current then it wont have anything to think upon, and it will be at peace. I may be wrong... but here is what I feel.. about our times.. While it cannot be ignored that depression has a genetic component to it, we live in a constant state of responsibility, and expectation, and live in a closed bubble called "family"... constantly triggering feelings(positive and negative) .. learning , unlearning every day... we rarely have time to "digest" things we are taking in.. we rarely have time to "relax".. even a social meet, seems like a responsibility(atleast to me) .. what works for me.. is just taking to myself... every so often... complete disconnect from things as much as possible... its not easy to find that time.. self evaluation.. digesting the experiences... taking your feelings to a closure... viewing things from different perspective... lack of these adds to stress.. ani naa feeling... I have stopped team games... few years back.. i do things.. that can be done alone.. thats the me time now.. this year.. i started Kayaking... just water and me.. for a three to four hours a week. I used to run, bike earlier..run few miles... again not in a competition, its not preparing for marathon or something.. just running.. for the sake of running... run until.. you dont feel like it any more... I must admit, i did not taste depression, but i some experiences with it.. i feel i understand abit about it... | ||

Could not handle kids unexpected situation, smooth gaa yeluthunna life lo unexpected curve balls vaste handle cheyyatamu andhari valla kaadhu. Parents and friends could have helped. Kids health/life is the worst thing can happen to any parents. Our current generation is too sensitive when it comes to kids, too much love which is good, but we need to be prepared to face the worst as life is unexpected. We need to learn from our grand fathers generation, most of them are bereaved parents having lost atleast one kid in their life due to poor medical conditions, having too many children, in some cases losing wife also during baby delivery. Even with lot of difficulties they were very strong, they never showed their sadness , always tried to lead happy life with whatever they got. In this case I feel sad for the mother and kids. I wish the father should have shown some leadership qualities during this difficult time. Worst thing would have been losing the kid, which the remaining 3 could have cope up with passing of time. Having a kid with unsolvable health issues can take its toll. Parents, including myself, with autistic kids go through this a lot very often. It affects marriage, career and personal well being. Its very important to find strategies to cope up with this level of stress. I saw depressed candidates very close ..its a sad stage many are not voilent but unfortunate is they become if they repetedly see and hear bad news around...its curable medication now avilable....and best is to find a good guru and cure spirutually if the person is 50+...agriculture ledha job which has physical work choosukovali so that they are tired and just sleep... we will see more cases in future where we are using more brain and thinking too much and want to accommodate wealth .., we can see the difference now kids spend too much time on electronics and are restless they never go out to play and dont walk to school ...and when they grow up simple problem or issue thye can't face and they will be prescribed stress/depression medication and as time goes by it will be like a regular medication hope less side effect depression medication may come or may be we will go back to basics of life where it was more natural | ||

Lived in Iowa for 13 years before I moved out of the state couple years ago. I met the guy on couple occasions and he was a very soft spoken guy. Hard to believe he would own a gun especially in a place like Des Moines/West Des Moines. This place is ranked one of the top for safety, good education/schools, lots of jobs, very affordable housing (except for couple desi pockets- we are notorious for that anyway) and lowest health care cost in the country. People are also one of the nicest. But it is really a boring place especially during winter. The only rescue is friends and gatherings. But that gets boring too after sometime. | ||
