eGGzATLY similar issue, I have dealt with a pinch of salt and pepper. Only exception is that my wifey didnt leave (same school kadaa antoo).. she has called me Immediately I have plotted the right plan and won. My wifey parked the minivan in school parking place and waiting for kiddo to arrive. When kid is in, tried to start and started Engine, and still in the spot(didnt move). The mom minivan behind started backing off (she had bike rack to their van), no backup cam for their van too. While my wife is in the van she backed into our car and started driving off. My wife ran and asked her to stop, she has stopped but claimed that she didnt see that her bike rack hit our car. She said that she would send the insurance details and driving license copy(she didnt give the DL details also to my wife) and drove off. But my wife was able to snag the license plate #. My wife called me from the spot. She told that even though my wife asked her to stay to get her car details etc, she drove off without staying. I have asked my wife to call 911 immediately for a cop. She did, cops told to file a HIT-AND-RUN claim online on their site(since no injuries and other car fled already, they have suggested the online reporting). I have immediately filed a HIT and RUN complaint online and got the case number noted. After 30 min the husband gentleman has called us(my wife has arrived home by that time). That man started playing from the other end. Told me that "Your wife backed into our car and give me your insurance details etc." I was cool like cucumber(as I have already set the ground for him). I have told him that go ahead and report, I have already called 911, your wife already fled from the spot, Police may call you for HIT-AND-RUN case in few minutes and here is the complaint number. That guy got the signal and started finding my feet. He pleaded me to withdraw the HIT and RUN, he has sent his insurance details,(no DL copy for wifey.. later came to know that she had her DL expired since H4 expiry and pending extension). I didnt do further mess, worked with their insurance and got the issue fixed. So, chinna cheemanaina pedda karratho attack cheyyali, lekapothe cheema kuttu chachhipovochu.. :-) | ||
