so the stage was set today for Flynn to go in for sentencing . The expectation is that he would plead guilty and as per special counsel recommendation he would not get jail time .. But early in the week, Flynn lawyers started floating a theory that he was kinda tricked into lying. Just noise but enough to cast doubts on mueller problem. The judge was genuinely concerned about this and asked for details of Flynn investigation . That gave some hope to anti-mueller camp... They expected judge bought their theory and WH started floating that theory with vigor. but what happened was opposite Now the judge has proven track record of calling out prosecutorial misconduct. He has taken strong position against governments earlier ..So their was a reason for optimism Today the judge asked Flynn about 14 times if he was tricked by any means . He asked in several different ways . Flynn confesses he lied and he knew it was crime to lie. Now the judge was giving Flynn oppurtunity to withdraw guilty plea.. but Flynn who apparently believed he would not get any any jail term did not take him on that and inspite plead guilty very vocally!!!! Then Judge Sullivan took it to next level .. he literally chastised Flynn and even called him out for borderline treason. And then he gave them a chance to request delay of sentencing .. Flynn legal team was hit by a jolt and realized they were looking at prison term.. so they took the delay because today was not the day to test the judge!!! Now this should put a rest to the FBI entrapment theories floated by WH and fox .. | ||

More details please... I read partially somewhere. Gyst: 1. Since Flynn already pleaded guilty, he can't plead not guilty and perjure himself. 2. Judge doesn't think he is guilty. where did this come from and how is it related to walls closing in !! I am not very comfortable with her but that is a different story!! Btw, I have been watching the Flynn court drama. Judge pulled a fast one . The way they requested for postponement hastily indicated he was going to sentence him to jail!!! Inspite of special counsel recommendation!! The rebuke by judge was something!! | ||
