hsitorically.....teams used to bat with their batters and declare on comfortable score and preserve their main bowlers...
none of bob willis, ambrose, walsh, alderman, were even decent stay at crease...over the years they got exposed and blocked with sheer experience which is what Ishant does these days...
ippudu all tests results vasthunnayi..meaning above 30 wickets are falling and almost everyone batting twice...
no where to hide....for bowlers...
Aussie tail is wagging and it looks great becasue the top order and non-existent middle order are giving them that glory....
IF IPL had bought super gains to our players.....it has not contributed in this department at all as low order batsman dont get to bat that much in short format...
mari ranji lono inkekkado....choosukovali...how to improve their match batting....
one contribution like Sam curran took away an series for us....ippudu vellu...
and dont going in with umesh looks like we fell to the trap of aussies making it sound like a super pacer pitch and they are going full pace....we fell for the bluff and too umesh......who unfortunately is playing for 6-7 years....with one dimensional approach (bharat arun..ki namaskaaram)....
captain is using what he has been given and the only part where he can pump up his team is while fielding.....because batting....each on his own....so i dont blame him to revv it up to the bowlers and who i see are toiling hard too.....

i think its more of Attitude problem.. less of "training" ee level ki vacharu, they have had decent training.
etochi world crick lo tailenders ki strike ivvadam - vallani batting skills ki force cheyadam ane view vachindi - which is good.. but while other teams' tailenders showed considerable improvement, we seem to have gone to worse..
mana bowlers ni train cheyali to bat better.. and in meantime we first need to recognise the problem and probably push the bowlers'-batting little less..
1st test lo Kohli agreed to the 5 quick wickets point - i didnt see this atittude change in 1st innings Perth..
if we waste time, that TOO, is a WIN for us.. pressure to WIN is already on Oz..

One absolutely sad thing is from the past 7 yrs of so, Spinners from Rival countries including SENA countries are humiliating us!
Swan, Moeen Ali, Lyon....the list goes on.
We used to have world best spin batsmen and tht included nearly everyone in our line up...
You can think of Siddhu, Azhar, Sachin, Ganguly, Laxman, Dravid, Sehwag, Gambhir.....all of them absolute wizards while playing spinners, dancing down the track.
Warne, Murali, Saqlain....everyone treated with utter disdain. Sehwag infact ended Saqlains career during the Tour of Pakistan.
Now it's a shame that rival spinners are regularly destroying our lineups and winning matches and series.
Everyone was constantly yapping about our batsmen Vs their Pace. Now we are literally at the mercy of their spinner!
Unless our batsmen prepare better against spinners, we are going to lose more Tests and Series when both the Pacers and spinners rattle us. |
