I would go with Flavors .. like Filmbuff said, the name does not matter as long as its not long and too difficult pronounce. Lucky , Goldstar too very cheap sounding brand names merged to form LG, a premium sounding brand name. its all in how it gets marketed. I feel for food, region name adds more instant recognition than bias, when choosing a region name, a local and specific name rather than a generic name like "Andhra" or "Telugu" is benefits. Again, the name should be short and easy to pronounce.
with these names, it will considerable marketing effort to stand out. IMO Homely foods - good name - you may consider synonyms of backyard or yard, in local indian languages too. Vintage foods - good name - probably a simpler synonym like Classic or Prime or traditions | ||

Generic Name - i would suggest, go by some initials. MTR, Priya, Ahmed etc. Its generic by itself, so North-South-USA ani teda lekuna.. as long as content is good name will spread.. Purposeful name - by the name itself, you want people to know that this content is good,organic etc. but deeniki koncham effort pettali to ensure bulk of your target audience understands. It might be a bit counter-intuitive but the brand name does not matter. Does 24/7 Mantra mean anything - but it is the undisputed leader in the organic foods with a Rs1000 cr market. Does MTR mean anything - Bangaloreans might identify it as Mavalli Tiffin Rooms, but for you and me, it does not carry any sort of nostalgic significance. Amazon ante enti, Google ante enti. Ghadi detergent is a 5000 cr detergent maker. A brand expert might scoff and say what is "Ghadi" (clock). One area where Telugu people do badly is creating recognisable brand names because we don't do a good job or branding and marketing on a nationwide scale. Take Priya for instance, it was a pioneer in pickles and spices, but outside AP how many people know about it. It could have gone national, invested in strong brand marketing to make it a nationwide brand. But it is now just a regional player where also it has lots its eminence with others chipping away at its heels. So indhu moolamga cheppedhi enti ante - more than the exact name, what matters is marketing that name to the customers and the distributors. Solid brand advertising meedha investment is crucial. Support that advertising through consistency in quality, distribution support, uniqueness in packaging, innovative product offerings etc. That being said - none of the names you suggested are interesting. In fact Scallion is a better name than any of those !!!! | ||
