It all depends on what kind of cases are in proceedings that day. When I attended there were two cases one burglary and one attempt to murder.( actually it was petty quarrel between wife and husband which turned into assault)Movie lo choopinchinatte undindi. But 8 hrs tala vaachipoyindi. Phone use cheyanivvaru court lo. Lunch one hr break ichaaru... court campus lo food court lo lunch konukunnaamu. But you get to meet different people from different backgrounds (me IT, others - teacher, electrician eyc.). Overall, it was a good experience to me. The One and Only Veturi | ||

Lol - it depends on the case and they will pick based on what the defense and prosecuting attorneys need - and you really do not know much of what the trial is about - the questions are designed to pick an unbiased jury collectively for the case! don't get too much opinionated.. have been to Jury? yes, many jurors would not speak but their vote counts that means their opinion is shown with vote.. i am not much vocal.. when it came to Jury Duty i did speak when i felt it is not fair.. since every one comes in different background.. their experience helps one way the other.. in my case.. logical thinking.. i did come up with two cases where i convinced jury duty and have rejected the case.. i felt good at least i could change one's life by reducing the sentence.. | ||

Everyone thinks that their job is indispensable but there is nothing like that annadu Basically you report to the court along with 200 other people (my exp). There will be many cases that are looking for jury members during the day. You sit around until you are called to a court room. There the judge, prosecutor and defense attorney ask questions of the potential jurors and dismiss dome people and select others Depending on the case you have to come back. They will range from 1 day to a few weeks. They will tell you what they anticipate before the jury selection I went twice. Once I was never called. Another time I was questioned but didn't make the jury because I lived in the same town the plaintiff was suing Once you go there, you wont be called for 7 years again | ||

it depends on Jury duty you get selected.. mine was Grand Juror on drugs / burgalry / domestic violence.. have to go through 15 cases every Wednesday for 16 weeks.. the question is if any of your family member is cop.. | ||

it seems you are in one of the pool. Aa roju compulsary vellali.. if needed 23 jurors they will call atleast 75 people. On Feb 5th you will know if you get selected for Jury or not. First they will call 23 jurors they already selected out of 75. The judge will go through each one and asks 7 or 8 questions.. if any person falls in that category he/she will be out and will have the next one in line will be selected. Is the selection for Juror or Grand Juror? | ||
