That is the chronic problem with amnesties, DACA is for all kids who are here currently and are in the system, whoever is not there has to leave ani condition ni matram he should not relax. If he agrees to that as well then it will become a general amnesty like in other times. If you recall as soon as he was elected he said he will consider sympathetically. Election promise was to deport millions of illegals DACA mottam kodite will not be more than 1 mill max. So don't think its going back on promises like the left wing/ultra right will try to paint it. DEMS always tried to stuff this in to other bills so that it passes. I think we need to do smaller targetted bills that will have clear objectives instead of trying to push a big bill with lot of freeloaders in it. By trying to posture that DACA & border wall funding are separate issues (inital reports) he may have sent a signal that on some things he will consider but will strike when things are needed. IMO delinking these will be a mistake because DEMS will never vote for the border wall. He should stand his ground on DACA will be allowed only if border all funds are provided. That way he will have completed his mandate 1. building wall 2. providing well educated young people a path (which is not that bad as it ends this issue once and for all). Close the tap after that.
