I used to have cusinart one from costco, around 90$.. when I used to cook regular sonamasoori rice ,we have to select a pressure, low (for rice) but that made the rice as sticky and semi paste.. there was no option for cooking with out pressure at all ..
in this IP , is cooking rice with out pressure possible , like regular rice cooker.. where we can remvoe the lid in the middle.. |

A tryst with instapot....a journey to the unknown...By ipc302
yesterday evening delivered..nightout chesi recipe book by heart chesanu
today evening opened the box...mana db yokka soujanyam tho water test started....button pressed and then opened instapot manual...now struggle started...edo moisture catch chesedhi plastic part ni set cheyyaledhu ani telsindhi...stopped instapot..
take 2 scene 1
aa moisture catcher part edo set chesi...again water test
followed manual instructions....everything perfectly done
ye tho trailer hai picture abhi baaki hai dost.....
take 1 scene 2
reading done about basmati rice cooking...
15 min soak chesa...then direct ga aa instapot lo rice vesi 2 cups of rice ki 3 cups of water ...pressed manual and then changed the cook time to 4 min and waited for result.....
idhi most imp part...once u set cook time it takes 8 minutes for the steam build up, pressure lock and then the 4 minute cook time starts....so in total 12 minutes pattindhi ...did not wait for natural pressure release...aa knob edo tippesi steam vent chesithini....
observations and results----rice cooked very well...long grains seperated, soft and fluffy...amazing fantastic mind blowing
