If you believe in democracy, you would see that Trump won primaries fair and square. This self conscious melodrama is bs. It means they are questioning their own people.

50 GOP national security experts oppose Trump
Fifty prominent Republican foreign policy and national security experts -- many veterans of George W. Bush's administration -- have signed a letter denouncing Donald Trump's presidential candidacy and pledging not to vote for him.
The letter, first reported by The New York Times Monday, warns: "We are convinced that in the Oval Office, he would be the most reckless President in American history."

Its signatories include former CIA and National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden, former Director of National Intelligence and Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte and Eric Edelman, who was Vice President Dick Cheney's national security adviser and has worked closely with Michele Flournoy -- a candidate for secretary of defense in a prospective Clinton administration -- to forge a centrist group of defense experts on key military issues.
It also includes two Homeland Security secretaries under Bush, Tom Ridge and Michael Chertoff, and Robert Zoellick, a former World Bank president, U.S. trade representative and deputy secretary of state.
Trump's campaign responded with a statement from Trump denouncing the signatories as people who deserve the "blame for making the world such a dangerous place."

Another day, another bunch of Republicans fleeing Donald Trump.
In what seems like a nearly daily occurrence, Republicans are bolting their party's nominee. But if not him, who? Some are going so far as to endorse Democratic rival Hillary Clinton; others, like Maine Sen. Susan Collins on Tuesday, are just saying they can't stomach supporting the GOP nominee.

Regardless, the large number of Republican defections would seem to help Clinton.

In some cases, the defections are clearly organized -- and even announced -- by the Clinton campaign. Other Republican defectors say they are acting independently of the campaign.

Last week, Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois announced he will not back Trump, telling CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "I'm an American before I'm a Republican."
Kinzinger, however, will not vote for Clinton either. Instead, he may write in a candidate. He joins Mark Kirk, an Illinois senator, who in June withdrew his endorsement of Trump.

Susan Collins: Donald Trump will make the world 'more dangerous'

Sen. Susan Collins said Tuesday that Donald Trump could make the world "more dangerous" and that his values represent a threat to the Republican Party.
"Donald Trump, in my judgment, would make a perilous world even more dangerous," Collins told CNN's Jamie Gangel. "I worry that his tendency to lash out and his ill-informed comments would cause dangerous events to escalate and possibly spin out of control at a time when our world is beset with conflicts. That is a real problem."

The moderate Republican senator said for her the "tipping point" in opposing Trump came over his feud with the parents of Capt. Humayun Khan, who was killed in the Iraq War. His father, Khizr Khan, harshly criticized Trump at a speech at the Democratic convention and Trump's first reactions were to question why Khan's wife, who was overcome with grief, didn't speak.
