Airport lo porter ki 200 as official fee + 100 as tip isthe, pls choosi ivvandi sir... Bags anni car lo pettanu annaadu.. We didn't even have many bags this time since it is short trip Toyota Innova ki daily rental 2200-2500 depending on vehicle quality (for 8hr and 80 KMs) But same Toyota Fortuner SUV ki per day 6000 rental. Not sure why such premium for Toyota Driver ki tip 200-300 per day additional because most of them tell you some sob story and you will be convince... In desam (Hyd) for a week... Good: One of the best thing I noticed immediately is that lot of people (bikes, taxis etc) are scared of violating traffic rules. Heard that police will send violation picture in mail fine and you need to pay online. Sometimes they issue ticket on the spot and don't take 100 or 200 bribe anymore (most of the times) Bad: People standing in long lines in front of McDonalds, KFC etc and not many takers for local brand restaurants in the food courts. For some reason people think McD is premium food. Good: You can get every single brand / item from Usa in major super markets. We used to send Quaker oats, post honey oat cereal etc from here. But now you can get stuff like that in Hyd easily Bad: No value for money. You pay 100 bucks and you will get goods worth 5-10 bucks. Some cases it is even worse. One example I saw yesterday: DB ladies might know this - Lot of high class women started boutique stores in J hills and B hills area and they make full use of FB for marketing. NRI women follow them and go to their stores (apartments) and pay one hell of premium for simple dresses. Visited one such boutique and I was shocked when she gave us invoice for 70K for 4 dresses. (2 adult and 2 kids dresses). I was like are you kidding me? She is not a designer, she doesn't have huge store front cost, fabric is not made with gold.. Then why 25-30K for simple dress? Good: Friends and families ki toys etc no need to carry from here. You can buy everything in Hyd. You pay little premium but less hassle while traveling Real estate prices in Hyd slightly affordable For some reason I feel like writing a travelogue for NRIs visiting Hyd :-) Don't say you don't have enough time.
