Nani - nenu heroes ni inthakante baga thidathanu, andaru thittandhi...why do we have to pedestalise everyone......as i said, Sachin just spoilt his average and his image over the past 2 years by unnecessarily extending his career....Now he wants to play the last test in Mumbai...this is the problem with our leaders whether in sport, movies, politics - they think they are above the institutions and policies. We forced this WI tour in between to get Sachin to play on home soil and now he has stated in his letter that he wants to play his last test in Mumbai... this is a team game, not an individual one to force others to play along.. I admire and respect Sachin a lot, but that does not mean i am blind to his follies...Asalu 56-57 average tho retire ayithe, super undedhi....
Adhi individual game, it does not matter when he retires, does not affect the team nor is he representing a country...that being said, he said many years back that he will retire in 2012. he should have stuck to that decision. | ||

There is no question of not giving him respect, sportsmen should retire when people are asking "why" and not "when". They should not outlive their usefulness a la Kapil Dev. There is absolutely Zero value that he is adding to the team over the past 2 years....what is the basis for him continuing... Folks wanting him to play the 200th test is irrelevant...if you are going to have democracy in sports, next is somebody wanting reservation..don't go down that path... | ||
