It is a horrible crime, if what is alleged has happened. No two ways about it. The only way 9 yr sentence happens is if he admitted to the crime. We don't know what exactly happened and how it happened!! Btw, the common sense is to never talk. Let your lawyer do the talking . Law is weird. Every crime has a wide range of punishment. Community service to 9 yrs prison kinda range. So it is better to leave the details to lawyers. Many people unknowingly self incriminate.. there is a reason law says ' you have right to remain silent'. Several lawyers advice to never plead guilty without something in return , even if you had done the wrong | ||
