I beleive it was a MONUMENTAL task of finishing the declared projects. There is nothing wrong in aiming HIGH. YSR's legacy is the worst, any politician can leave behind in the history of India. He made corruption a justified, and common thing. He made the Govt. a money distribution organization. and i definitely believe some people had died of shock....i mean there's no freaking reason to not believe the fact..... i did not beget any direct favors from him..but i had a LOT of trouble associating the horrific crash images to the general image of YSR which was v approachable, charming and kind.....come on man we were fed up with the rule of tdp..atleast farmers and state govt employees...so for us babu was the face of TROUBLES..plus he had an irritable general demeanor.......and ppl had put up with his rule for 9 freaking yrs.. then comes YSR with a lotttt of incentives for state govt employees, farmers and others.....plus he had a really kind demeanor..the result: he was more than an administrator or a CM..he was a household figure, a hero and to some he was the god-sent....... people who are born and brought up in riches never understand the value of a HOME.......but for a guy who was homeless for years, his first home would be more than just a home..it would be his living dream.......and the benefactor would be nothing short of a god..... kamal.....niku ysr poyadu ante pedda matter kadu..but you can NEVER imagine the INSECURITY of the direct beneficiaries of ysr......they were shocked, they were left in disbelief and they were left with a million unanswered questions..the result: some ppl wanted to follow suit and commited suicides..some ppl died of shock..absolutely comprehensible...... ppl who question the deaths/mournings of ppl are insensitive to their plight...as simple as that.... | ||

i typed this up for 'YSR Kosam' thread and it was deleted..neways my response to link's Q on our reactions to ysr's death..... yes i was badly hurt...my family had been traditional congress voters and my dad was a BIG fan of YSR.........we have to admit that he was the most charming CM for AP......no matter what he did to the treasury, his general demeanor and his smile were VERY VERY re-assuring..that coupled with all the people-friendly schemes, he had become a household figure for most ppl in AP..even i used to admire ysr though most of my admiration was acquired from my dad..... I had started my cross country drive from NJ to CA with the news that YSR went missing.....i thought it was a hoax and moved on...the next day when i was on the road i get a call from my mom...she says 'YSR poyaru ra'.....i couldn't believe what i was hearing.......i thought she was kidding till i heard her sobs....then i talked to my aunts and maid who happened to be there.......they described the scene of the crash and it was horrific..they were all saying "manam inka aa navvu chudalemu ra".....at that point, i remember shedding a tear or two.. i will always remember him as the most people friendly and the most charming CM of AP.......rest in peace, YSR.. |
