This is easier said that done..because everything depends on the state of the mind of the girl.. As most of the responses have come from guys (remember Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars book)..I would step back and think.. It all depends on her mental strength to regroup herself..can she find a job and work for herself and earn a living..if so...she needs to get started on that..and then when she is confident that she can lead her own life..get rid of this guy..rather than trying something in haste.. Mav, He never tried in any ways for the past 2 yrs to take her to USA. He never cared for her, soon after marriage. His family in India ( Mom, 2 Brothers, his Dad got exired long back) movedfrom Hydbad to pune with out her knowledge when my friend is staying with her parents. Based on conversation from my friend, I am suspecting him as unfit for marriage life. He just married the girl for family pride and to prove him self as a normal healhy guy. I know the company which he is working for and his name is listed in the company website as he is in very good position. The people who suffer for no fault of them will only get to know the pain they are going through. He still didnt realize what he has done to an innocent gal's life. Its true that GC holders cannot bring immediately..the question is did he try to? some possibilities are B1 visa..atleast stay 6 months a year. F1 visa and H1 visa..did he try any of these channels? Coming to the divorce,get the details of the company he is working for and with proper proof of marriage and due to the fact that he is demanding divorce for no reason that baxxxtrd can be stripped out of his job | ||

Hi, I am posting this question on behalf of my friend and pardon me, if this is not a right place post this matter. My friend's husband is a Green card holder and she has been married for over 2 years. Her Husband, a stanford grad, is working in one of the leading software firms in SFO. Soon after marriage this guy has left to USA and was not bothered in taking his wife to USA. He called her just once in past 6 months and asking her for DIVORCE. Simply he is trying escape and get rid of her by giving divorce for his own reasons. My questions are 1) Is it difficult for green holder in USA to take wife as dependent along with him? All these days, this guy has been saying this reason to my friend. 2) What legal action can she take as she literally got cheated for no fault of her? His family in India also not responding well and they are trying to get rid of my friend by way of divorce. THis gal has literally tried all ways to make this marriage work and all her attempts were so far futile as the guy was adamant and started saying these days that his career will get affected with family life. She is utterly in a state of confusion and disappointment. Can any one suggest a better way to deal with this situation. Thanks |
