Nenu chebutuna half baked but the half baked is tasty. Zulu then u must have ssme opinions as rao ramesh and so obviously film looks silly. By the way, i felt that the movie was a bit verbose in parts and i could not engage with a dialogue from the beginning to the end...i lose the gist somewhere in between the conversation...that being said, Ganesh Patro and Addala did a good job with the dialogues. The ending has not been discussed much in reviews. But it is worth talking about. I have rarely seen a mainstream movie, especially in Telugu, where the movie has such an abrupt ending with the parentheses not closed....kudos to Addala for his bravery on the ending here... | ||

SVSC - bullet point review Structured review raase time ledu…idigondi bullet points • Hall was 60% full on a week day, first show. Gopalan, Bangalore • I never felt bored at all during the movie. I felt hazaar bored during Businessman, Gabbar Singh etc. which is quite creditable here for a movie that others felt did not have a story. What matters for a movie is not story as much as screenplay. • The movie is a slice of life and just as life does not come with an end point apart from death, the director did not show an easy denouement with either Mahesh getting a job or Venkatesh finding a solution to his own insecurities, fears etc. Of course the temple fire scene appeared forced to give a conclusion but I am willing to live with that. • Screenplay is neat, Addala gets the behaviours, mannerisms, lifestyles etc spot on. Like the Vijayawada marriage scene where the person sitting Mahesh says “bhojanam chesi vellipodam”. Or the girl in the restaurant saying “water cooling ayyinda” (btw this girl deserves the best actress award for that line, she has nailed the Bezawada accent in that small phrase). I can identify easily with so many characters and scenes, life the friends gathering in the town/ village centre and shooting the breeze, people suffering deeply for not having a job and hurting when everyone asks what they are doing, not attending family events due to that, guys from Hyderabad saying that they will provide a job, chinna chinna sannayi nokkulu - nochukovatalu etc etc • Venky did a much better job than indicated in the reviews, he shows that he is a master at senti scenes • Mahesh , I can’t stop to wonder how much he is growing an actor with each movie. His smile can melt a mountain. He just lights up the screen whenever he is there. As I have said earlier, in screen presence and charisma, there is no one close to him right now. He has this easygoing, casual way of saying even the most difficult lines and accents. “Abbo deeni yaasaloyii” - the way he utters that line is a perfect example of his ease and grace. • Anjali - it is a breath of fresh air to see and hear someone speak in their own voice. And she is a terrific actress to boot. Absolutely fabulous….mana telugu jaathi lo puttatam thana duradhrustham. • Rao Ramesh – he is here to stay and will go places. He can do all Prakash Raj kind of roles. He can also show some comic diversity and increase his range. Great diction and dialogue delivery. • Samantha – the less said the better, underdeveloped character and Samantha does a sham job out of it. • Prakash Raj had a smaller screen time, seemed a bit uninterested in the proceedings or probably his character was that way. • Music was okay, apt for the movie. • I can’t understand why they take people with the caliber of Ahuthi Prasad and give then one line in the movie. • I would not mind seeing the movie again. Perfect for family outings. Clean, neat, unfussy, entertainment. |
