Am not opposing your views but - the loot that is happening in the name of mining has to be explained to a larger audience...and the only way is to make a normal commercial movie to attract the masses and throw in this mining aspect and explain in lay man terms. That is what Krish has done. I got carried away by what Krish told on TV and went ahead to watch the movie. mallee Krish movie ki elataanaa? ellanu... What's my problem with the movie? Poor content. Instead of arousing interest and stirring the stagnant minds about the mining issue (several parts--tangible part of dispossession of land, and not so apparent issues of imbalance in biodiversity and further widening of gap between the rich and the poor), the premise of the content is reduced to personal vendetta between protogonist and antagonist... Land mining is not a personal problem, but a community problem, typically associated with dispossession of land from the poorest people living on the richest land of a region...only when your conent rises above typical masala personal vendetta, you depart from the mundane...and I did expect Krish to be different from other filmmakers, with my assessment based on his debut Gamyam and slighlty a lesser second film Vedam... Can we delve more into the content (there may be spoilers)? The content remains low due to the following: 1) Familial revenge vendetta, thus redcing it to a formulaic, convenient masala movie and personal problem rather than a community problem. 2) Probbaly...the writer wanted to make a film on Surabhi artists and decided that the ballet finale would be on 'krishna tatvam'...and krishna should kill someone so the emotions reach peak during the finale...also the writer wanted to bring ain an element of mining, that probably could be the reason why the conent doesn't do justice to either surabhi artists' sheer persistence or to the efforts of the hero and love interest to expose the scam... 3) original gaa writers ee kinda rendu premise lu kuudaa alochinchi untaaranukuntaa...commercial gaa viable kaadani vadilesundochchcu... 3a) premise 1: tana taata maata kosam, kanumarugavutunna naataka kalaarupaanni, ayishtamgaane, nilabette prayatnam lo, enni ibbandulu edurainaa, tana jeevitam taanu batakadam kannaa kaLa kosam bratakadam minna ani telusukuni, aa kalaa ruupaanni modernise chesi tana tarvaata taraalaku andistaadu... 3b) premise2: pudami tallini taarche vyavastha lo dagaapadda adavi prajaaneekam kosam, tana jeevitaanni pakkana petti, vallaki andagaa nilavadame kaakundaa, contemporary society ni melukolipi, vyavastha lo maarpu kosam tana jeevitaanni panagaa petti padi mandi kosam bratukutaadu... for these reasons story treads a road, taken by so many directors umpteen times... content oka maadirigaa annaa unte, performances, crew craftsmanship gurinchi alochichevaadini...asalu kaandame dolla ayite...ika kommalu, puvvulu,aa dialogue, ee performance ani... emi alochistaam...ika janaalu chappatlu kodatannaarane great dialogues, asalu content lo sincerity leka povadam valla...naaku aanaledu... one more point I want to nail down--when I say poor content I do not mean it to refer to no content or half/confused content. Undoubtedly, this film's material is structured rich...
