average ga undhi antunnadu Jemumba':-D' When the kamera is switched on the movie starts with montage of national leaders with great ones like nehru and gandhi to the disgusting current ones and the crowd as usually whistled and clapped only for current ones. And then a cliched scene of a good cm and a bad opposition leader. (Did I say the good cm is a reddy and the bad opposition is naidu and the bad opposition leader son talks about psoriasis and •••••':-D' , eyyi puri wats cooking amma u cuty little boy':-D') And then the hero intro , Pawan a mechanic , welding away to glory in his new fashion statement, an orange jump suit, stops the welding and picks up an iron rod to settle a dispute between two different casette students and then a pale , bland monologue with media and the students and if ur pawan two words come from ur past to haunt u making u nostalgic with the nightmares of Komaram Puli and u cringe in the theater seat saying Oh jesus not again...no no no no ... awww and thankfully thats the last tasteless dialogue written for pawan in this film. So ur fine':-D' And then movie takes off we r introduced to a plethora of characters and u pretty much have seen them million times in before films so nothing new to talk about even though i must say the comedic energy between ali and pawan is always super high irrespective of how many years they been doing films together. The combo is simply superb like george and seinfeld ':-D' And then the big bad naidu wants to replace too good reddy as CM so he sketches a plan that involves the super bad bulli naidu to take the mantle from his evil father. In course super bad bulli naidu faces off against pawan and it leads up to the interval. And by the interval you are neither content like u have just witnessed a cool genre film like Panja nor ur euphoric like u just witnessed a gabbar singh. At the half time u just feel like "ok wat the bleep?" . But then my frens thankfully our indian fillums have two halves of one movie unlike the hollywood folks who have only one':-D' . So the second half starts on an interesting note and moves pretty fast with couple of super comedy scenes between pawan and heroine and pawan and brahmanandam and then the movie goes to climax and pawan gives a super speech towards the end (i really liked it though its cheesy':-D') and then a stupid climax. And then when the movie is over , and u feel like "come on man not that bad , i was scared irrationally because of puri':-D') And now lets analyze the script and dialogues':-D' script very lazily written. There is a movie called falling down of michael douglas where a middle class blue eyed american gets a mental breakdown and goes after cheating grocery store owners , mean gangsters , manipulating fast food chains etc etc. I think this character is borrowed from there but instead of completely focusing on the character and cleanly knitting a plot around it the director just borrows the character and dilutes it with his stupid story. But what saved his writing is the dialogues. There are so many cool dialogues through out the movie that some were meant to make u think , question and at the same time not being preachy. So u got to give it to puri for the dialogues. Again there are only a few not many':-D' And now the artists':-D' pawan is keka. not one scene where you will find him unease or incompetent while acting out his scenes.His dialogue delivery and modulation na bhu na bha and his monologue before the climax is simply superb. Again he proves why he is the best of current lot':-D' first heroine Thamanna___emamma thamanna, recession time dharalu aa level o perigipothunnai , freshers ki udyogalu levu seniors ki billing sariga ledhu. Ilanti time lo kooda 5 dollars ki acting seyyamantey endhukamma 500 dollars ki sesthavu':-D' she overacts so much puri can pay her remuneration for 2 more movies without being her acting in it':-D' second heroine peru theleedhu':-D'____i have seen her before not in the movies but somewhere else. Wait a minute where was that , its been a while almost 8 years... umm I remember the weather was sunny buy not humid , oh yeah its a desert but wait not desert, it has lights and roads and energy yea yea yea it was los angeles, And what was I doing then i was angry and i was driving . why was i angry? oh yeah had a fight with my girl fren then . for what ? she didnt want to have sex . so what was I doing yeah i remember I was angry with my gf for not having sex in the middle of the afternoon so I came to sunset blvd to solicit for ••••••••• from a street hooker.so ur saying the second heroine used to be ur gf. no no no. not possible never stood next to someone so tall. Then who is she?..helleluah i remembered its that girl street hooker i saw on the streets of sunset blvd . OMG she became a heroine. God bless puri':-D' so i told her past u can imagine her acting talents':-D' Prakash Raj___sleepwalks through the role. sometimes i wonder does he change anything from movie to movie or does he even remember which movie he is working for':-D' standard template shoutings and threatenings yeah':-D' Kota___decent Brahmanandam___keka Ali ___keko keka Nazar___sir , I told u before and iam telling u again. Please do something about ur hair in the ears. They are coming out as voodo trees from a voodo doll and its distracting for audience. Everytime u come on screen ur ear hair is stealing the show. Wat the fck sir. respect the audience cut that damn hair. If verma sees it he will put a camera there. Do u want that ? ':-D' Now lets face the mujic___ Ummmm songs as u all know if u hear in a stereo those songs can bleed ur ears. But on the screen they are ooook. Do not expect gabbar type pulsating songs and energetic choreography. Its simply oook':-D' Now the back ground score. Its a mix of Troy and Spider Man and a little bit of number of other hollywood flicks , so whoever the mujic director is bleep u ':-D' And now lets do some fighting___ fights are fine slickly edited . One fight stands out where pawan fights with 20 sisters of darren':-D' over all an average flick with its moments':-D' Pawan Haters___ can simply stay away':-D' Normal Audience___ one time watch if u dont have anything to do ,anyways wat the fck u do anyways':-D' pawan regular fans ___one time must watch and second time strictly with a glass of wine':-D' cult fans ___buy a tent and sit in theater ':-D' MEE abimaananni nenu gundello dhachukunta kani thala ki ekkanivanu - Pawan Kalyan |
