Somanath Sahil, 30, the security guard belonging to Investigation Security Services, was found dead in the lawns of the actor's Road No 1 Jubilee Hills residence with head smashed with a marble stone. There is one more security guard at the actor's residence, but he was guarding the house from the outside. Balakrishna is the son of legendary actor and former CM N T Rama Rao and brother-in-law of TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu. The incident believed to have happened between 2 and 3 am and police suspect that it could be the handiwork of robbers. The actor's family reportedly informed the police about the murder, who arrived at the scene at 3.20 am. Both Balakrishna and his wife Vasudhara were present when the incident took place. Vasundhara later told the police that she and her husband slept in separate rooms and she noticed a robber trying to gain entry inside her and raised an alarm. The actor was in news a couple of months ago when he allegedly shot two of his accomplices at the same residence. The two victims -- film producer Bellamkonda Suresh and the actor's family astrologer Satyanarayana Chowdary, though badly wounded, managed to survive from the shooting incident. He was being treated in at least five hospitals in the city, besides Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and Rajasthan. Nims director Kakarla Subba Rao invited doctors from the Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda, to study the psychological condition of the actor. Balakrishna's medical records were submitted to a team of doctors who examined the actor's mental condition. "Even the records from Jodhpur hospital, where he was admitted after suffering the foot injury, also mentions treatment for a mental disorder.'' Doctors are relating the ankle fracture the actor suffered while shooting a film in Jodhpur to his depressed state of mind. "The X-ray reports show that Balakrishna's leg got twisted, ligaments ruptured resulting in bones protruding out of the skin. It is not possible for a normal person to jump from such a height. We suspect that his mental condition might have drove him to take such a risk,'' a doctor said. Psychoanalysis of the actor revealed that Balakrishna was also suffering from 'manic' depression.
