is this an argument, or opinion? to me there should be no sacrifice from anybody. why does a senior player have to give way to new comer anedhi ardham kaadhu. in sport or life, everyone has to earn their place, that is how you stay the best. if you playing an internation game, you are allowed to make mistakes, but to expect someone should be nurtured at that level, wreaths with mediocrity. well, but thats my opinion. THe diff between Tests and ODIs/T20 are .. limited overs .. in tests on forieng pitches .. teams are humiliating us by battering our bowling for days ... we are so humiliated that .. we give up by the time we go for batting ... T20 or ODIs the other teams get only 50 overs .. so our bowlers know that the torture is only 50 overs long .. so they put in little more effort ... so by the time we bat the match is not over as such ... that is why .. in tests ..we dont care who is batting who is not .. in ODIs/T20 .. we still care .. so we dont want aging players like dravid/Tendu/zaheer etc., if sachin were to be 18/28 years .. we would have expected him to be dropped and expected him to improve his play/form and come back .. at his age it is not possible/feasible .. so we cant drop him ... the whole mindless rotation policy for openers.. -- its a farce....India should concentrate on settling for a opening pair for future.....not bring players from the past..... ODI opening almost goes for T20 opening manaki....and we have a T20 world cup coming up........sachin doesnt play in it.....so what is the fun of rotation policy except to give sachin a chance.....we dont have an other series until september.....except for asia cup......5 matches in subcontinent.....good chance of a 100.....against those teams..... Good article.. and it is true.. what is he going to gain by scoring the 100th hundred.. he has already scored 99.. he should, at the end of this series, hang his boots, take a few years off.. later be a mentor or coach or whatever he wants.. he has done a lot for the game.. i hope someone tells him that he has achieved what no body else will probably achieve in the next 10 yrs or so.. if he lingers much longer, he will lose his hero status and start becoming the villain | ||

Ponting has not scored century for almost 2 years. Was he waiting for his 100th hundred? What stopped him from scoring century? Everyone shouted that ponting should hang his boots. What happened now? He scored 3 half centuries, 1 double century, 1 century in a series. Its common for any batsman that he face bad form sometimes. From his last century, Sachin scored 90 or above 3 times. He scored 80 runs twice. He scored 50-70 4 times. After dravid,kohli I think Sachin is the player who scored more runs in the tests(Aus,Eng,WI). Coming to ODIs Sachin was the second highest scorer in WC 2011 which was his last ODI tournment. Now he just played 3 odis after that and he failed in just 2 matches.
