actually dont call parents on cell if they are > 75. we may catch them while doing something else and it may distract them and may harm them. they may have something in one hand and try to reach for the cell in a pocket and some crap may happen. call them on landline. you know they will be sitting in their sofa chair reading paper or watching tv in happy mood, then talk with them. let them enjoy their life. nvere ever force them to do something. for example, if they have a mental reminder that I need to charge the phone because my son may call, but this f'ing current not there and yesterday i forgot etc.. it is a huge stress for someone almost 80. it ruins their serenity in life. like throwing a big rock in a silent pond. screw/fcuk vonage but dont trouble parents.
