mava, easy commute to nyc and plenty of job options nenu unde neighborhood lo very few desis untaru. relatively clean and green. lot of desi grocers, food, movie options in 10 min drive very good schools daggarlo temple undhi, with lot of free classes to kids about languages, culture most of the highways are toll roads and maintained well tell me, what am I missing? | ||

marv tamud - i agree with quality of life point, ppl commuting to NYC from burbs typically spend 3hrs (door to door) daily but you can get good houses in nicer towns, they are not as cheap as mid-west though. Bulk of NJ is populated with greenery. Take a drive in county roads to enjoy the scenic drives. There are no big cities in NJ. Entire state is considered as cosmopolitan area. | ||

Mav, it depends. NJ is a suburb for NYC, so cost of living is a bit high with substandard apartments in some areas. There are people who commute to NYC from Princeton area and Priceton area apartments are very new and luxurios gaa vuntay. Forget about Edison, it's like sanjeev reddy nagar and if you are looking for Madhapur type area you have to look around North Jersey and South Jersey. Advantages of NJ for Indians - good food, crowd, ethnic diversity within Indians, once in a while meet and greet Bobs (Chandra and Mohan). Once I went to HRHK temple in Wheeling, WV. The priest who is an American over there was saying that NJ is not part of US anymore, it's part of Gujarat :-) | ||
