In this category, most of the scifi thrillers vastayi. For example a movie like Predator which I think is the greatest Scifi thriller of altime, Aliens, T2. I would rate these three better than Matrix. Even the Abyss is also a great movie. If I have to pick one, it would definitely be Predator. IMHO the definition of 'Intelligent movies' is : 1. A film which makes you seek answers for the ramifications outside the film and within our lives. ex: Matrix, Constant Garderner... 2. Complex Movies. Difficult to follow and understand in a single viewing. ex Mullholand Drive, Inception.. 3. Adaptation is an excellent example of Perfect Screenplay... I guess many of the good mystery movies come into picture when we consider Intelligent movies... How about Agatha Christie novels made for movies like Murder on Orient Express, Death on the nile, Evil under the sun? Hercules Poirot as private detective is awesome... | ||

I think adaptation was an awesome script....imagine this... a succesful book needs adaptation into a movie and a neurotic genius is given the task for writing the script for the movie...right...and this guy just didnt know where to start and where to end....and in this process he stresses for good ideas and like a flash he decides to include his struggle for the proper adaptation of the book into the script and comes up with one of the most original plots ever.... And seinfeld was one of the most intelligent scripts too.... intelligent antey manaki ardham kaakapothey intelligent kaadhu...it should be original n innovative n very simple and it should have a broader appeal.... | ||
