Giving anything for FREE is not at all a good idea, whether it was done by NTR or YSR or TDP or Congress. But, these kind of schemes helps poor families a lot and if implemented correctly, it is of a good benefit to the poor people. Since India has lot of poor people, we cann't always think on a long term loss. We have to think of taking care of current problems first and once major current problems are eliminated, then you can think of long term goals. Not a bad scheme, eventhough I am personally against it. | ||

Kg rice = 2rs padhakam was started at Jadcherla and it rocked!! Salient features: 1. 25 years back NTR started and the credit goes to him on such a novel thought. However, this was removed after sometime. At that time kg rice was 3rs and TDP was giving at 2rs.
