Its a bigger impact to Walmart/Flipkart than Amazon. Amazon doesnt have much of their own products(yet in India) than Walmart. This still doesnt apply to the concept where Amazon can still have preferred products and influence searches even if they dont make them. | ||

Very good policy..infact US and other countries should also do for companies like Amazon Big players liek amazon's predatory pricing policy has impacted lot of retailers and small businesses Suppose if you come with a new product and sell on Amazon..and your product becomes success,the next thing amazon does is copy your product and sell it withit's branding for 50% cheaper..It will promote its own product and makes appear first in searches/listing on amazon and will make the original product business go bankrupt Similarly Flipkart and Amazon are making deals with smart phone manufacturers and selling some phones exclusively at 50% cheaper than retailers (though those exclusive phones are much trimmed down specs/hardware which end non technical customer will have impact or notice about it)..which has impacted sales of electrics at offline retailers ! Now Indian Govt has brought rule to stop these exclusive deals with predatory pricing and also limited the own brand sales to 25% (actually rip offs/copies of successful products..just like store brands we see in US) | ||
