when i was in PG, hostel lo breakfast nacchaka manesa thinatam
for more than 15 years i didn't eat breakfast
so my last meal was 9PM in the night
next lunch was at 1:30PM
didn't lose weight much, i don't know what effect it had on my metobolism

Life ki vunna first property is basic survival instinct, and it always runs involuntarily in async mode.

have been thinking of doing it for long. have to start it. there is no the protocol to doing this yet it seems. Dr. Peter Attia is experimenting with it.

Intermittent fasting with Keto should do wonders.

btw, is weight really a problem? I would actually want to gain 5KGs more but its difficult for me to gain weight.

I did Keto for 3 months and lost 18 pounds. I gave up on that as it is very hard diet to keep up with. But I am doing the intermittent fasting for atleast 3 days a week (i used to do this before on Keto as well). I feel it is much easier to stop the weight increase with fasting. It doesnt help you lose weight though. I havent put on a single pound since I started this inspite of eating normally.

I started on 11/26/2018 exact, over-weight at 198 lb for a 5'7" height.

Last I wanted 180 lb. I did it in 8 weeks, as on 01/19.
Now I want 175 lb, at a stable rate of 1 lb per week. Already ninna chooskunte 179 lb atu-itugaa vundi. By end of this week, or early next-week I should be 178 lb.

Hitting Plateau. If I can manage to get out of plateau, next target 170 lb, and then 165 lb vundochhu.

This is how I lost 19 pounds in 9 weeks.

Weekdays -
7:30 AM Milk (boiled previous night) with Instant Coffee, microwave at 1100W for 3 mins.
10:30 AM small fruit-cup, or small cheese platter.
1:00 PM - Lunch. chicken salad (no breaded chicken, or deep-fried). or street-meat, chicken over salad, no rice, or small veggie curry bowl with no rice, no naan, no roti, no complex carbs at all.
3:30 PM - 1 scoop whey protein powder when I am going for workout.
5:30 PM - Workout. Gym. Pump Iron. Lift Weights until your hands and legs cannot take it anymore, then do some more cardio may be 10 to 15 mins, to lose an additional 100 cals.
7:20 PM - 2 boiled eggs, post work-out. If no work-out nothing typically.
No work-out days, from 3:30 PM onwards 3 or 4 times mixed un-salted nuts, that is all. No Pre-workout protein, and no post-workout eggs. On work-out days, 3 or 4 times nuts throughout the day, just for munching.
8:30 PM - Post work-out 1 scoop 100% Isolate Whey Protein mixed in 700ml water.
10:00 PM - Some dinner, name sakes, for hunger. Mostly frozen veggie curries on Cauliflower rice, or veggie curry with Chicken-kale-broccoli burger patty etc.
11:30 PM - Boil Milk for next morning, 1 glass Buttermilk with Vitamin D3, Omega-3 and Men's One a day supplements.

Weekends -
10:00 AM - Wakeup leisurely.
12:00 PM - First round milk with Instant coffee.
2:00 PM - Second round milk with Instant Coffee.
4:00 PM - 1 Apple.
6:00 PM - 1 scoop 100% Isolate Whey Protein with 700ml water.
8:30 PM - veggie dinner, no rice, no lentils, no beans, no wheat, no bread, no naan, no roti, no complex carbs overall.
10:00 PM - 1 glass buttermilk compulsory with supplements.
Saturdays ayithe 7:00 PM onwards, Whiskey macro-non-nutrient, 0g Fat, 0g Carbs, 0g Proteins, basically useless for the body, with Bhindi Fry and Pepper Chicken Fry order from Persis.

I am trying this 2-3 days in week. 15-16 hrs fasting. Less carbs in diet. So far lost few pounds but no big changes to energy levels. But feels good loosing some weight :-)

yes when you finish your dinner by 6 pm and awake till 2 am for deployments or some calls till 11 am, it is very difficult to control not to eat any thing , not because of hunger but as habit. you feel your entire system is empty by that time

When my parents were here I gained 4 lbs in 3 months, switched to intermittent fasting and I already lost 3lbs in 15 days

this is my schedule

1) 7:30AM - coffee
2) 9:30AM - Cereals with whole milk or Bagel with cream cheese
3) 12:30pm - Peanut Butter Sandwich
4) 5:00pm - coffee
5) 8:00pm - Dinner (rice, idly, dosa)

It's working for me and I already I feel lighter

PS: I weight 148 lbs

Yeah Bro.Actually i can be without food for 24 hours and only with bulletproof coffee.Which means craving for food has gone.
Also I feel light,active and manage things effectively.
At the same time i am not missing any delicacies.Every week will have good dinner
Either Pizza or Biryani.
Also sweets also i am having.Mostly jaggery sweets.

Try this .you will feel difference.Also key have early dinner before 7:30.Your last meal should end by 7:30.

Last avataar uncle - i too started this 16 and 8 hr windows. But i want to change to 2 and eventually 1 meal per day to increase the fasting window. Ippudu weekly twice nadusthundy. Ee roju i pushed to 18 hr.

Next level dry fasting anta..not even water.

Also I am doing this for last 1 year.
VRK diet for 3 weeks last year Jan.
Khadar diet from last 3 months.

Reduced from 77 kgs to 65kgs.
BMI is 23 now

ledu Bro, I wanted to maintain a 15-16 hrs fasting window
Not only that i want to have kids have safe 2-3 hrs period after dinner before they hit the bed, which is helping them. My wife also follows same.

I used to have dinner at 9 pm and snack at 5,

Now with this fasting window, i have to finish dinner by 5.45 max 6 pm. As i am eating Hand pounded Rice, it can sustain you longer after lunch without any snack in the evening. if required we can have fruit

I am doing exactly this bro.
My timetable:

12:30 PM -- lunch
7 - 7:30 PM -- Dinner

Morning
8:00 AM -- Bullet proof coffee [Butter/coconutoil] -- no milk,no sugar
which means body is still in fasting mode.

Minimum of 15 hrs will be on fasting every day.Eppudanna vacations ,overnight stay unte matrame BF chesedi.Else it would be 15-16 hours of fasting.

yes Sir it should ideally be fat loss that happens between 12-16 hrs of fasting
as long as we are feeling energetic and active , able to do all work without any weakness we can safely assume it is fat loss not muscle

some people are not suggesting bullet proof coffee while fasting, while others if i want to extend my fasting hrs i need to try

Yes Sit 15.30 hrs is nothing. but for people like me not indulging any for that duration is a challenge to start with, especially i sleep at 11.30 and get up at 5.30 am

Yes there are different intermittent fasting methods
1. Warrior meal - where you eat only dinner and stay fast until next day dinner
2. have 2-3 hrs of eating window like that

But the challenge to arrange a good whole some nutritive one meal
Also becomes difficult for spouse to plan customized stuff

15:30 hours is nothing...

u can stay 23 hours fasting..& then eat only in 1 hour..just 1 hour of eating time...eat as much as u want and eat what all u want....
in the remaining periods..only bullet proof tea or coffeee..if u want to..

I have been doing it for a month now. i feel good so far. no weight loss though.
but it is a good way to stop you from eating extra calories while watching movies or indulge in late night snack.

my eating time is between 12 noon and 8pm. morning black coffee

one type of that i have started doing it on week days
have window of 8.30 hrs to et food, fast for 15.30 hrs
Ofcourse this is not something unusual , but for people like me who indulge every now and then is a great restrain

1. 6 pm - 9.30 am (nothing except water + lemon water around 7 am)
2. small BF meal at 9.30 with coffee , to break the fast
3. Lunch at 12.30 pm
4. Dinner at 5.45 pm
(nothing between lunch and Dinner, May add some fruit in future)
