Harold and Kumar reference is to how goofball comedies catered to desi audience .. not comaparing with pulp fiction. Adhi different topic. .Also , I don't have genre preference.. I pretty much watch most.. general ga anni genres lo konni movies nachuthayi.. konni nachavu.. for several reasons sometimes the mood we see with.. Regarding Pulpfiction.. Pulp fiction is the first of that kind for me. General ga movie ante oka plot, oka formula.. Oka flow vuntadhi. This movie is just randomness. Bunch of random events , each one well written and seems like disconnected but they all come together in the end. Shows a watch and then out of nowhere there will be monologue about watch, two hard core criminals talking about random stuff , The whole honey bunny and gringo sequence , out of no where wolf character and its elevation, after almost deadly drug sequence uma thruman ends the scene with cheesy ketchup joke etc etc.. at every turn the movie seems about something but the next turn it is about something else.. and then it is about something else.. Each character has their own story that is unrelated to the central plot of movie but treated equally important. That is what is appealing, I guess . Until the movie completed , even though we are enjoying bit by bit .. there is a 'what the hell is happening' feeling .. then by the Time movie completes everything is tied together.. in our minds we can sequence out things . Also the fact that top actors gave a standout performance also helped the movie That was first time seeing such a movie.. I don't know if that counts as brilliance or not but it made me watch over and over and each time I pick up something I did not previously. Finally, asala question of intelligence emundhi brother, particular when discussing movie like Lebowski!! It's just a stupid comedy whose lines you can repeat over and over for fun. it is just matter of taste, preference and times/people we watched these movies with . Jim Carey , Adam Sandler movies chala mandhi ki nachavu.. alage govinda movies are cheesy antaru.. I enjoy all these kinds!! | ||

Harold and Kumar and Pulp Fiction are the worlds apart. There is sensibility and certain cultures take it easily than others. Mana faction movie narukudu will be C-rated vulgar goty violence no American family would take their kids to. So its relative. Its clear you and me like different genre movies. But may like or not like What is there to mind? Just difference in opinion. But can you help me understand why Pulpfiction is brilliant? I want to Know what I missed. yikes!! Looks like we got on a wrong track!! Sorry Just remembering the funny lines from the movie.. didn't mean to offend you.. anyways.. not a big deal I guess it depends.. I like all genres including goofball types.. konni sarlu konni nachchuthayi.. pulp fiction will be in the all time best for me .. Inka konni movies like it .. desi emundhi.. American emundhi.. the more desis watch and like .. more evolved they get.. hence Harold and Kumar series  to be clear .. there is objectionable stuff.. too much crude language.. enjoyable movie but not with family | ||

I saw it in 1998 when it was released. What you said is a dialogue crom the movie. I watched it a few more times on TV. Just didnt like it and get it. Same with Pulpfiction. People say ooh aah. If Americans say it, yes I can understand it but not clear why Desis act like its the most craziest movie ever. I think we are pretending. | ||

This is like cult.. chudani vallu miss avvadhu.. one of the movies whose dialogues that you hear repeatedly .. it is all because of his 'dudeness' Actually, this movie was not a big hit .. I am not even sure it is a hit! But it has it's own 'meme' life. I lived in Austin during those days.. hardly a day went by without the movie references! The more people loved , there's more people hated.. and so it became a cult Aa time lo another one was 'office space'. That relates more to us | ||
