My Best moment of the movie is "Cheyi Ethi Jai kottu Telugoda" song. After going through the state division and seeing the hatred among Telugu people now, getting reminded how NTR was above all this and how he loved and was loved by every Telugu person above caste and region be it Telangana, Costha and Rayalseema made me very emotional while watching. | ||

Detroit - Emagine Novi 7 pm show I had the opportunity to watch NTR movie on the biggest screen in Michigan and the 4th largest in USA, with 4K projection. After all the hype and doubts about this high risk movie, I have to say the movie “Exceeded Expectations” Story: NTR’s life story is widely known among Telugu people but intertwining this known story with many unknown parts helped in revealing to the audience more than just the public image of NTR esp. His personal life with Basavatharakam and Internal struggles. Cast: All eyes were on Balayya on how much he can recreate NTR on screen. It was my biggest question as well. I was doubtful whether Balayya will be good in young NTR’s role. Obviously knowing NTR and his unique voice for years, one would never get satisfied seeing some other person impersonating him But the story and dialogues of NTR with other legendary character’s such as ANR, LVPrasad, Nagi Reddy, Chakrapani and many others are so involving that I didn’t feel the need to wantedly nitpick Ballayya’s look and make fun of it because it’s wasnt bad at all if not too good. It was also exciting to see so many known actors and actresses coming across on every scene. Performances: Balayya did a great job in enacting NTR. There are places where there is more of his touch than NTR’s but everywhere else, Balayya being his Son understood the emotion of his Father and could show it on Screen. This is the advantage of Balayya doing the role. Vidya Balan is amazing. You can’t imagine any other heroine after watching her performance. Sumanth and Rana are a treat to watch. Both felt apt for their roles. Direction: I thought Krish had so little time to take over the project suddenly and finish the movie. So expected he’ll screw up things but he did a wonderful job in limited time. Very Classy direction. However, the Interval is the biggest drawback of the movie. Krish should’ve taken care about the placement. Felt it came at the wrong time with such a great start to the movie and without a Bang. Movie picks up after Internal and Ending is very satisfying. Music: Keeravani’s music and BGM add so much value to the movie. One of his best works. I’m happy he didn’t resort to commercial numbers just to appease mass fans. Feel: There are so many whistle moments in the movie that will make NTR fans feel excited esp. the original scene re-enactments. But the soul of this movie is NTR as a person and his connection with the Telugu public. Those scenes came out really well and were emotional. Overall, Liked the movie very much. As I’ve said before, people who followed NTR’s movies closely will have a great time watching this film. People who don’t know much about NTR and Telugu film Legends might learn a thing or two about history from this movie like any other bio-pic. On the other hand, People who are just at the theatres to troll Balayya. Nobody can help you. Get a Life. My Rating - 3.75/5 |
