This is my dream. I hope i can see this in my life time.
Cases must be filed, and in many cases cases were filed. But indian judicial system is very very very slow. and 93% cases never get solved.. this is a whole another problem.
Case was filed by a hindu group. In 1990, S Mahendran started a petition, alleging that young women were visiting Sabarimala. In 1991, Kerala high court decide to block young women from entering temple and said women ban imposed by the Devaswom Board is not violative of Articles 15, 25 and 26 of the Constitution of India. In 2006, six women, members of the Indian Young Lawyers Association, (All Hindus) petitioned the Supreme Court of India to lift the ban against women between the ages of 10 and 50 entering the Sabarimala temple. They argued that the practice was a violation of their constitutional rights and questioned the validity of provisions in the Kerala Hindu Places of Public Worship (Authorisation of Entry) Rules act of 1965 which supported it. Supreme court sided with 6 women and said women of all ages can enter. Then 2 women followed the law and entered temple. ippudu cheppu where is other religions involvement in this whole matter ???
