I agree. vunkl - i will try to explain what happened in this thread. Dhoni kurrod fost soodandi .. "muslim rulers marchina perlanni"... naa first post in this thread was a response to that post to understand the logic behind it. my initial post is in support of renaming it to Ayodhya... but i am still ending up clarifying my position on Ayodhya... which is the same as yours  1) temple undha ledha.. ane dhaniki clear answer is there was... there is documented proof of a temple, along with credible history from surrounding families who have served in the temple. 2) do we need to build a temple there, i think we should, but we should TRY to take a few muslim orgs into our confidence, if possible. 3) should the city/district be renamed to Ayodhya - i think it should be done, because of the value it holds to hindus. my only point the post, that in anyway might be believed to be against Ayodhya - is my doubts about it being the BIRTH place of RAMA. and for that I feel scriptures like srimadhbhagavatham provide a bit of different view, and i might be wrong on this. | ||

In what could be a turning point in the Ayodhya dispute, the Archaeological Survey of India has reported to the high court that its excavations found distinctive features of a 10th century temple beneath the Babri Mosque site. The 574-page ASI report consisting of written opinions and maps and drawings was opened before the full Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court on Monday morning. The report said there was archaeological evidence of a massive structure just below the disputed structure and evidence of continuity in structural activities from the 10th century onwards up to the construction of the disputed structure (Babri Mosque). Like i said, I am not against Yogi renaming it. I am not very adamant about renaming places because muslim sultan's renamed it. everything - up until yesterday is part of hour history - there are bad one's and good ones , but muslim rule of india is as much a part of our history like any other part. between, if the majority wants to rename - i am not against it. but i think i should have a fair chance to argue counter points. my argument do not mean that i am against something or i am for something.
