Perception. USA lo everyone has their level of lifestyle. That defines the monthly expenditure. case1: Wife and husband have BMW ,Lexus and kids goes private schools. 700k house. Savings are nil. Cast2: Single car. 500k house. Invested heavily in india and usa. Goes to public school. Box ki bokka peidhte oo 2 M $ anna vastai. So it all depends on how you look at things | ||

I like your post title May be he made equity investments over last 7 yrs and rode the wave. That is the only way I can think of 500k state.. but anyways he deserves kudos !! 200k will only net you around 120k after taxes. So saving 50k is possible but needs extreme discipline | ||

NQDC is not for every one. mee client/employer ki financial issues vaste NQDC amount mothan poyinatte .. if you change your client or move job..you cant rollover nqdc amount to IRA. last one is when you start taking money out of NQDC ..you have not only pay incometax ..u have to pay social security and medicare too | ||
