Majority of the damage was to private property and they got it from the Insurance companies. The only public infra that was affected was electricity and it was restored in phases by the Government. Plus the Airport roof which was also insured and hence rebuilt easily. In Kerala, public Infra like roads, railways, bridges, electricity has been severely damaged. Crops have been totally destroyed. Forests are destroyed, due to mud and landslides and there is a severe health emergency. | ||
