There is no option to evade US sanctions now. Obama gave exemptions during previous sanctions but Trump admin has declared no exemptions will be given to any country. The real reason we can't import Airan oil is the USA will sanction any company that engages in Oil trade with Iran. It is not investment at all.But but India's strategic requirements It is not a commercial venture ,but defense requirement.The port is not commercially viable,but it is to counter china Do you know that 80 Kms from Chabahar,China is building a port in Pakistan (Gawadar) and it is connecting the port with 8 lane road to china.The pretext is commercial reasons. China has already declared that it will be stationing fleet of Submarines and troops to protect it's merchant vessels So what should Indian Govt do when China is encircling India from all sides ?(It has already bought Govts/leaders in Nepal,Maldives,Srilanka and pakistan through Loans/investments and bribes ) | ||
