why do you think this is hoodwinking / blindsiding?? He doesn't need to read every bit of details. The bill will also be summarized at the level president need to know. If you think a president is hoodwinked on a 1.3 trillion bill , than you have a bigger problem on hand!! The lawmakers were all involved in this. They all provide their inputs. Whitehouse will have handlers sitting in Capitol giving reports to president almost hourly . We need to understand our negotiator-in-chief is not good with details. The bill is nothing but multiple law makers negotiating their people (or lobby) needs!! This is how it always worked . Only difference, past presidents were engaged in such major initiatives in a very intricate manner. The Negotiator got caught napping hence got out-negotiated. great!!
