Already Moviebuff babai correSt gaa cheppadu. Nenaithe chance teesukuni, endorse cheyyanu, will go with old and new passport copies and a print of that link (given by Moviebuff there). To handle this slightly, I have applied for US passport renewal a year before its expiry but before new OCI application.. which gave me a gap of next 4 years to run into this issue. May be at that point, things may be bit clear about this confusion. | ||

Got OCI in lieu of PIO in 2 weeks from mailing the application, and a fresh OCI in 5 weeks.. both from NY.. They sent out small booklets for both OCIs saying lifetime validity.. I thought they would ask for kids' passports to print stickers on them? Did they change the process? Also does this mean we don't have to apply for OCIs every time their passports are renewed?? | ||

Yes and No. No because your son can travel by carrying both passports. Old and new. https://www.in.ckgs.us/faq/visa/transferring-visa-from-old-p assport-to-new-passport/32/oci-is-on-my-old-passport-and-it- has-not#32 Yes because Rules say, you have to update OCI everytime you get a new passport. Fee is $45. | ||

Life time "U" visa passport lo unte avasaram ledu.....carry both new and old passports and you will be okay.... If its not "U" visa for lifetime, you got to apple to reprint the visa in new passport too..... And one other thing, why are you still reading this line that is obviously my signature? | ||
