where did i say anything against it. if Rohit does not work out, drop him for the next series, and who ever gets picked for the team in place of Rohit, give him a full series again, instead of chopping that player again if he doesnt seem to be in form. --- out of 15 that gets selected for any tour.... one player is a reserve wicket keeper one player is a reserve 'OPENER' other two is a mix based on spin or pace tour..... that covers why other opener would get the chance..... and now ----- instead of chopping that player again if he doesnt seem to be in form. ----- the chopping was less frequent in this guys case and more about his fitness or getting injured frequently (now how that's India's problem is debatable)..... again with due respect....If not about us arguing.....just the usual anguish about why....team has to be indebted to one guy..... yes 15 get selected, but rarely they are inter-changeable. there is a always a primary candidate, and then a replacement in case the primary is injured. and in this case others in the 15 were given chances in the tests.. they clearly struggled as much as Rohit, if not more.

looks like the mode of play is being decided on what the pitch is doing.. based on the converstations from Kohli after the last match. the pitch if behaving well, they are setting a target in mind, and pressing hard to reach it. in the last game, pitch slowed down, so they adjusted the target and were more watchful. here the pitch is holding up, so they are trying to keep the score board running to the target. with ABD in team, the team probably is thinking if they dont have hefty target to defend, they might lose. | ||
