Naku celebrity gossip knowledge zero so have no clue about their relationship or problems other than what I read in the book  Just watched ADHM though because of the book - it’s a well written film, beautifully made, a tad slow but it was interesting to watch given the insights from the book - and being able to identify the autobiographical elements - he even gave ranbir the body language he describes in the book .. and of course all the allusions to all the old films are always fun The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim | ||

After reading almost 70-80% of the book...i stopped reading it any further...due to the whole confusion... what is it he had on Kajol..that thing kept me on toes to read further...but lost steam n it fizzled out for me... I know, Kajol is such a decent, dignified woman...but this guy should have never talked or do all that fuss on a married lady with kids... but never thought, this guy had those guts 2 even show it towards her... may be to Kajol, Karan is just a boy-toy...to go nearer to Ajay as mentioned in the book, where in Karan was giving time n cards to Ajay on behalf of Kajol...n it still fails for me to understand...how the heck this bloody half baked postman would propose to the heroine...??? all in all, between Ajay n Kajol, this guy is just a post-man or messenger...may be all he had on Kajol, was that harmonal infatuation, crush which he never could go any further... Why ? I have no qualms saying I enjoyed the movies and still enjoy revisiting some of them - DDLJ , KKHH remain rewatch favorites to this day

He is just a good businessman, he makes movies that sell really well but once they are out of the cinema screens, they are done and dusted. If we see his movies after few years we all would feel epic shame for enjoying that content in the past. He makes movies that make good money, he knows what sells. Done have always admired him and enjoyed listening to him talk ...reading the book was like getting into his head .. no artifice , he put himself out there without reservations and with a raw honesty - and for that utmost respect ! Fathers and sons, probably one of the most emotionally deep, human relationships. Probably one of the most intense human equations. Because you then become a father, and then you bottle up, just like your father did, and this vicious circle continues. Who is going to break this vicious circle? I realized, and I’m sure this applies to all of you as well, that, like everybody else, I too had issues, minor issues with my father, like every other son. You could call it a generation gap, you could call it a difference of opinion, you could call it anything. But what I also realized was that I was subconsciously being the man my father is. I was talking like him, feeling like him, loving like him—I was just being him. I then realized that a father not only gives his son his name, he also gives him his personality. So somewhere, if you have a problem with your father, you actually have a problem with yourself. Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve had this realization and this opportunity to express myself, and I wish with all my heart, that one day you do too. Karan’s dad Yash is the actual hero of this autobiography.. including his mom Hiroo who was far modern for her times.. Also, his cheddi dosts Adi, Uday, Apoorva, Yash Chopra n Pam, Shah Ruth... Not to forget Kaajol who gave her m permission to shout on her in sets despite being spitfire herself... n rest is history...
