annai in that case put alist of gods only on whom temples can be built ..they have the list now.,only thing is they have put the endowements restriction on them..just remove those restrictions all set.. Not allowing people to build temples while others get freehand is classic sickularism.. | ||

anyone building new temple should be allowed to do so. It should not come under endowments even if hundi and funds are collected. Let people be the judge on how much or if they should donate based on temple activities.. ancient historic temples should be managed by endowements but every penny given to temple should be exclusively used for temple activities..it should be made transparent. | ||

Point taken. Hence, why should the government run the religious Institutions? If they are mismanaged so be it. As long as they do not indulge in Anti Social Activities - it is fine. And whenever the religious institutions cross a certain line, I think the Governments have taken action - maybe delayed - but they did take the action. For e.g. Golden temple was declared as the HQ of Khalistan Country and they started printing their own currency, passports etc - and the Indian Army went in and "reclaimed" the complex. There have many cases where the Governments have NOT taken action either like murders, property disputes in temples and trusts etc. | ||
