Yes .
Biriyani use the same recipe as you use for stove top - layer the marinated meat at the bottom , partially cooked rice and all the other trappings on top -- cover and let it cook for 4 hours

You'll find many recipes online - I don't have mine saved :-)

15-20 mins in pressure cooker after pressure builds , 25-30 in instant pot.. tenderizer/ papaya work but make sure pregnant women do not consume it ...4-5 hours slow cooker is good if you have the time:-)

have seen tellolu bring crockpots for potlucks...happy ga anni padesi every 1 hr ki mixing chestharu anthe...taste ki taste no hassles at all

chaala surprise ayyanu antha baaga taste vacchindi...no wonder ikkada tellolu andaru crock pot ni tega use chestharu for beef/pork...

Most important is the quality of the meat. Frozen lamb/goat loose all the juice in them and get rubbery. Taste like card board. Change shop where u buy.

Also 4-5 whistles are okay in any cooker. Try to add more gravy like things to dish, like coconut, onion and tomato. Water minimal.

while cooking, first cook the meat in a low heat for a while, before you turn the pressure own... atleast for 15 mins in a very low flame.. and then turn on the pressure...




will try this weekend.. I doubt if my friends use tenderizer ... they get their mutton amazingly soft and tender.. they knew that if they bring mutton to the party, 3/4th of it, I will bat single handedly!

if the meat is not tender, dry pounding with a meat mallet or a knife.. this will soften the tissue...

or sometimes i used a pappayya based tenderizer to make meat tender, it used to be available in indian stores.. havent tried it in a while... before actual marination, apply the tenderizer, or you can make it on your own.. get a pappayya, peel of the skin, take the inner part, and add salt and make it a paste.. marinade the goat meat in this ... for 30 minutes and wash it off....

Ippudu pre frozen goat meat ki cooker must and should. Even after 4 hrs on stove top, it is still hard. Recently figured out a market where they sell never frozen goat. 1 hr stove top cooking is sufficient, and tender. Name wise baby goat antadu, but it is a full size goat.

Food lovers investigate cheyyandi. Especially in large cities. Already idey norm ayyi unte I am joining the band wagon late.

On side note, Asian market lo brown chicken is very good. In par or better than whole foods free range chicken..
